Statistically, only one in twenty homes in Ireland has a top energy rating. This means that nearly a quarter of a million of home owners in Ireland do not live in a cosy home and are paying far too much in heating bills because of poor quality or no insulation at all in their homes.
Insulate and enjoy a really COSY home
We are a local business based in Naas and we specialise in home insulation. The business was founded by Thomas A. Vaughan who is proud to put his own name to his business i.e. Tav Insulations
Tommy has qualified with a QQI distinction from Mount Lucas Construction Training Centre where only the correct and most up to date standards are taught. He has qualified in two disciplines: ‘Retro Fit Insulation Skills’ and ‘Exterior Wall Insulation Installation’.
These hands-on courses were specifically designed to upskill the participants and to teach only the correct methods of home insulation in accordance with the standards of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI). These are the ‘must have’ standards in order to qualify for government grants.
Tommy is passionate about the quality of his own and his team’s work and gains a lot of satisfaction from making peoples lives more comfortable in their own homes.
Statistically, only One in Twenty Homes in Ireland have a top energy rating. Therefore, Tens of Thousands of Home owners in Ireland are paying much higher heating bills because of poor or no insulation in the home.
A quarter of all heat in an uninsulated home is lost through the roof. Insulating attic or flat roof is an effective way not only to reduce heat loss in your home but it will also reduce your heating and energy bills. It will also go towards significantly reducing the emissions into the atmosphere.
WHERE HEAT IS LOST IN THE HOME
30- 35 % of heat is lost through the roof
25-30 % of heat loss is through the walls
15 % of heat is lost through doors and windows
7-10 % of heat is lost through the floor.
